Two minutes remain until the planet Namek explodes.
Goku and Freeza engage in the fiercest of battles to determine which
of them is stronger.
On Earth, the newly-arrived Gohan and the others learn from the Grand
Elder that it was Goku's wish that he be allowed to stay behind.
Gohan and Bulma are stunned that Goku would remain to fight.
Not even Piccolo is able to hide the disgust he feels in Goku's decision.
Vegeta, on the other hand, laughs that if the two don't kill each
other first, the planet's explosion certainly will finish them off,
and he will automatically become the strongest in the universe by default.
As Gohan prays for his father's safe return, one minute remains to
the destruction of Namek.
