Kuririn becomes acutely aware of his upcoming marriage to Maron.
Umigame tells Kuririn a tale about a giant pearl in the middle of
the sea.
Thinking that Maron would be overjoyed at such a wedding present,
Kurirn takes Gohan and sets off to the ocean floor.
Kuririn realizes that the pearl is a treasure that belongs to the
creatures of the sea, and decides not to follow through.
Thinking he doesn't have what it takes to make Maron happy, Kuririn
breaks off the engagement and says his goodbyes.
As he leaves, Maron tells him that she feels fine about becoming his
wife, but Kuririn does not realize what she means.
Later, when he comes to his senses about Maron's meaning, he discovers
that she has taken off with another man.
With tears rolling down his cheeks, Kuririn can't help but feel he's
been jilted.
