From support@xmission.com Mon Feb 23 11:21:59 MST 2009 Date: Mon, 23 Feb 2009 11:21:59 MST From: XMission SupportTo: announce@xmission.com Subject: ANNOUNCEMENT: Reminder: Update Your "801" Phone Numbers to 10 Digits Status: RO Reminder: Update Your "801" Phone Numbers to 10 Digits ------------------------------------------------------ XMission would like to remind everyone to include the area code when dialing local numbers in the "801" calling area as of Sunday, March 1st. IMPORTANT: To avoid an interruption of service, all XMission dial-up customers must update their dial-up settings to include the area code now. We are sending this courtesy reminder to all XMission customers. If you know an XMission dial-up customer who might need help reconfiguring their settings, please contact them this week or encourage them to contact XMission support if they need help. What is ten digit dialing? -------------------------- Simply add the area code to all local numbers (e.g., 801-990-0900). What exactly do I need to do? ----------------------------- If you have an XMission dial-up account, it is likely only setup with seven digits. You will need to reconfigure your computer to include the area code. Visit our help pages for simple instructions about how to do this: http://wiki.xmission.com/index.php/Ten_Digit_Dialing If you just need our dial-up numbers, they are listed by location here: http://xmission.com/about/dialup/ For more information -------------------- If you have questions about configuring your dial-up connection for ten digit dialing, you can contact XMission support at (801) 539-0852 (in metropolitan Salt Lake) or toll free (877) 964-7746.
