Well, the first ever Beehive Beemers Internet Mailing List group ride took place today. Bob Jensen, Vic Kennedy and I departed from the shop this morning at around 9:45. The initial leg of the journey took us to Grantsville via. the old highway from the west. An early lunch consisted of gigantic burgers at Kim's, south of Stockton. A quick stop in Vernon for gas, and on south toward the turn off to Eurika. Upon reaching the turnoff we decided the day was just too nice to turn around yet. So we pressed on south, taking a wonderful, little winding road (Vic's suggestion) into Nephi. North from Nephi on another winding little road (once again, Vic's suggestion) took us into Elberta, where we spent a few minutes talking to a couple of Harley riders also out enjoying the weather. North from Elberta along the west side of Utah lake, into Lehi, where we split up. Vic and Bob heading north toward Redwood Road, and I heading east to I-15 and home. This was a wonderful ride. I was particularly impressed with Vic's knowledge of the roads in the area, and enjoyed the added excitement that Bob contributed to the ride by smoking at every gas station :-). I'd love to do this ride again.
