From: Subject: new machine on the way Date: 02 Feb 1997 23:49:10 -0700 (MST) Ok, I'm working on getting a new machine for cybertron. The site admin is bing a dorkus and not replyingto my email, so I've abandoned that site. I intend to have a site on IPASSAULT.COM as soon as I can get a machine together to run the mud on. The mud will be on mud.ipassault.com, port 6789 The cost of this is going to be approx. 5000 for the complete machine. I am aksing anyone who can to help. the faster we get the money together,e the quicker this will happen. I had to promise not to go beyond april, and to watch the CPU and memory usage, but I think it's good. I have reset the mud on xmission.com 6789 for now. If things change, I will let you know, but for now, it looks like we have a home for our mud again. I am currently in process of trying to retrieve the old library. I cann't promise if it will work, but I'll try and let you know. For now, all creators need to log on new again. Mail me when you do and I will promote you again. --- Ninja --- ninja@xmission.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Subject: Not again! Date: 14 Feb 1997 11:44:44 -0700 (MST) Well looks like some people on XMission are complaining to the staff. They don't want us to have our mud here. I'm currently trying to convince the staff to let us stay on just till our new machine gets here. If that fails, I will be forced to take Cybertron down till the new machine arives and is hooked up to the net. That COULD happen as early as the middle of march, but it's not absolute. I will keeep you posted --- Ninja --- ninja@xmission.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Subject: mail to stay alive Date: 22 Feb 1997 23:32:27 -0700 (MST) I'm going to do some pruning soon on the mailing list. Anyone who is currently coding on Cybertron (i.e. has been promoted to creator) should mail me. Anyone who doesn't mail me will be removed from the list, and will have to resubscribe to it. Some people have started a fuss on XMISSION because of the mud. I am currently trying to re-negotiate the treaty I have with xmission. Until I am successful in that aspect, the mud is down. On the possibility that we loose this site, the new machine is only about a month away or so. Any contributions would be sincerely appreciated, as they will buy the new machine all the sooner. Once we get the new machine, we will not have to worry about this type of thing anymore. I'll keep you posted, but until then, hang tight! We'll be back up before too long! --- Ninja --- ninja@xmission.com
