Some of you may not know, Montreal is in a state of ermergency right now. Actually, only large chunks of the city. there is no electricity, no sewage treatment, and something else, I think water but I could be wrong. In fact, Ottawa is also in a state of emergency, but not as bad as Montreal. I should also add that parts of southern Quebec and western Ontario are hit, too. What happened was Montreal has freezing rain for 4 days (!!!!). Due to the build-up of ice on trees and power lines, they keep falling. So they crash through parked cars, and people's homes. No one can go to work, everything is closed and people are getting food poisioning because the refrigerators aren't working. It will take days to restart the city--there will be a delay due to some electrical towers which crashed down onto the ground due to the ice. I am lucky that the "ice storm" sended before it reached Toronto. I still get e-mail from a friend of mine in Montreal, so I figured perhaps our Montreal members live in the area where it was hit. So if you did any postal correspondence, e-mail, etc, expect a delay. I assume also the mailing for the special cd from Tox records will be delayed as well (I assume also Ivan's new album, etc). Just out of couriosity, Tom, since you have a satellite dish, could you tell me if Musique Plus is still broadcasting? I'll keep Montreal in my prayers.
