From: "John Shilcock" Subject: Re: (kw) Paris 1976 track listing Date: 01 Jan 2002 10:48:33 -0000 AndrewNelles1@aol.com wrote > i need the track listing for the Paris 1976 show, i cant identify the song right after Kometen melodie, i know i have heard it but the name doesnt come to mind. It should be noted that there were two concerts played at paris in 1976 (according to "twingo's list of KW dates") I have a copy of the "Machine" bootleg LP. This has an extract of the Utrecht 1981 gig and a few tracks from the 28/02/76 concert in Paris. The recording is part (or all?) of a radio broadcast in paris. The quality is quite good, has an announcer at the beginning of the comet melody pieces and at start of the next one. On my track listing I have the next track as "Tanzmusik".. however I've just listened to the track and now I don't think it's that simple. We must remember that duing these early years Kraftwerk were far more willing to ad-lib and improvise during their performances maing identifying tracks somewhat difficult. So... in the end I can't make up my mind if the tracks following Comet Melody STARTS with either "Tongebirge" or "Heimatklange", but it could be a mixture of both????... however the track (after a couple of minutes) DOES lead in to "Tanzmusik" I hope this helps? But again.. remember there are, reportedly, TWO concerts so make sure we're all talking about the same one first! We won't have a Expo 2003 version for next year, unless KW finally decide to release something new during the near. btw, for those who don't know, Today, 12 European countries begin to use the Euro Currency. I guess KW should be happy of it, since I personally see Trans Europe Express + Europe Endless as a great hymn to the European continent. So in some ways, KW were again very ahead of their time in 1977. Happy new year to you and your family for 2002 and as KW fan, we can always hope to see something comming from Klingklang. Mailman is more friendly to the casual user thanks to its web-based user interface. The new admin UI will make my admin job easier which should improve the level of service you get as subscribers as well as let me spend more time participating again. You'll also have access to a friendlier archive system and some new subscription options: digest mode is now an "on/off" toggle rather than a separate subscription list, and you can disable your email temporarily without needing to completely unsubscribe. Everything else should work just the same. In order to receive the new version of the list, please go to http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kraftwerk and follow the subscription instructions there -- you'll need to confirm your subscription request via email and there will be a new posting address at mailman.xmission.com. I will disable the old version of the list later this month. Feel free to post or email if you have any questions or concerns. I used to live in The Netherlands, and I had a PC with CD copier. I copied lots of CDs and did many various CD trades throughout the world. Now, I copied a lot of CDs for my then fiancee in South Africa, but now I have emigrated to South Africa myself and we got married, so we don't need the copies anymore; I took all my originals with me. I don't have a PC or copier here in Africa, and it will take a while until I can afford one (remember, I can't just go wild and buy one because there's also a wife to consider!). Hopefully this is soon as I'm missing my copier and just received a tax rebate in Pound Sterling which here in Africa is like gold. However, I want to trade with these CDs that I have copies of. If you would like any of CDs from the list then please e-mail me on mattwerk@hotmail.com and let me know. Because all of the below mentioned have already been copied, it is just a question of popping them into a padded envelope (without jewel cases - it saves lots on weight and they get damaged in the mail anyway). If you choose a Kraftwerk one, I'd add one from the 'various' of your choice and vice versa. Please note I will not charge money at all - it is purely a swap.
