Credits on both releases go to Hutter/Schneider/Bartos, and the tracks are basically the original song with a more pristine production and a more contemporary sounding rhythm ( which by the way sounds very classic indeed). As for Little Computer People, it´s another project of herr Rother, and the single Little Computer people is a remake of a track of 1979 of the same name, produced by Terry Lancaster recorder at TLC studios ( all the information is from the sleevenotes of Rother´s single, released in 1998, with a certain degree of success in the aforementioned old-new school clubs and events). Anthony Rother is only one of many producers of this new wave of electro, which derives straight from Kraftwerk´s music and image, but somehow I have never seen any comments on this new electro music that is coming out of Detroit, Den Haag, Leeds or anywhere in the planet where Kraftwerks influence and inspiration is not a museum thing but an everyday soundtrack. Catalogued as KLANG BOX 101, it is a set of four 12" singles, each in identical white pic sleeves with robot motif (like you can see on the T-shirts on the Klingklang Konsum Produkt website: http://www.ticketworld.de/cgi-bin/jumpin.pl?f,deutsch,KRAFTWERK ). Each sleeve has separate Klang DJ numbers, 101=96104, and these 12'ers were also issued separately to the boxed package, although I have only ever come across them in their picture sleeves, not in plain ones. The recordings are the original analogue ones, not the 1991 Mix versions. About the boxed set: The box is printed black with a white robot motif and the Kraftwerk bitmap logo beneath. The back has a brief copyright/catalogue details in a block at the bottom edge. The outside of the box has not been laminated after printing, which means that they're very easily marked (ie devalued). Apparently only 200 were issued; a very limited number (possibly 10) come with black robot T-shirt and press release. KLANG BOX 101 is listed as the seventh rarest 1990s release in the UK, with valuations for mint quality ones with T-shirt reaching =A3400, although if you've got one (as I have) would you sell it? These shops have copies of all both the boxed set and the separate 12"s: http://eil.com/ Pretty good mail order-only service, their website also calculates foreign currency conversions and a few listed items have images to view. http://www.mveshops.co.uk/ Based in Notting Hill Gate, London, they also do a mail order service; but if you're able to get to London I'd recommend going down and browsing to check the goods out personally. They have a particular shop which only deals in rare/promo stuff.=20 ********************************************************************** This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
