It was out on a ranch outside of Austin, Texas and was absolutely beautiful... you could really see the PLUR there, and thats all its all about, so it was a good experience. The whole reason why I even began to like Moby was because he radiated such a good vibe to me, and really had soul in his music... thats why I like the raves, you can feel everyones energy around you, the same sort of energy that I felt at Moby's concert... as for the DJ's at Caffeine, it says on the ticket there was DJ micro, uberzone, peanut butter wolf, icey, john debo, david alvarado, dave trance, lance cashion, herb, vision, and medea sirkas.... I didn't see them all, because I arrived fairly late, but the one that stood out was micro, and icey was fairly good too. As for future raves coming up, on the 20th of may i'm going to one in austin called together as three, which should be good, but I'm really looking forward to one on july 15th, which is also in austin... if you ever go (kikiglitter or anyone else) let me know, and I'll tell you if i'll be there or not... until then peace and love to everyone. - -Jackie ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 May 2000 00:05:53 EDT From: Blujeans3@aol.com Subject: Re: (mobility) caffeine In a message dated 5/11/00 8:56:58 PM Pacific Daylight Time, SKY126@aol.com writes: << you could really see the PLUR there, and thats all its all about, so it was a good experience >> Ok ....I'll bite....what IS that?????? It's mostly used by people who are still blissfully in love with the scene and who have not yet become jaded by the rampant drug use and greedy "all-about-the-money" promoters. A friend of mine has a shirt which i love -- it says "FUCK PLUR" on the front. Love it. :D The reason it really bugs me is because it's kind of naive and shows an "it's all good" kind of attitude when it isn't all good and you shouldn't gloss things over and overlook the negative. You've got to notice the fucked up things, don't just step over the drugged out etards in the corner (kick them!) and help the scene, not just pass out lollipops and backrubs... actually *DO* something. Anyway... oops. Went off for a bit. *grin* sarah "...a fountain of blood in the shape of a girl..." Although you could look at the negative and see all those dead, lifeless people, who have god knows what kind of drugs in them, you must also be overlooking the people who are standing up, listening to the music, and actually feeling it. Raves are a chance for a crowd of people to come together to listen to amazing music, and share a common bond, and although there are some who take advantage and defeat the whole purpose of raves and PLUR, and get into it because of the drugs, instead of the music, well, yeah, it is fucked up, but thats how everything is. There will always be someone who will try to "crash" the party, so to speak, we've just got to keep living, because if you focus too much on others, how can you really live for yourself? Underwater is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find, if you ordered it and got the single disc version, enjoy the one you got just keep looking.... every thousand years or so a copy turns up on Ebay. If you ordered the Evil Ninja Moby dj Mixed + Remixed Everything is Wrong 2-disc, you plainly got ripped off and should demand satisfaction, as it is still available from www.mute.com, and many other outlets on the web at a fair price. ===== Bradley S.
