(You might want to skip it if, for example, you're going to see them and want a first-hand experience or something). Anyway.... The night constisted of (a far as I knew) a bunch of DJs, Pressure of Speech and Orbital. I only got their in time to watch the last 2 or 3 "songs" from POS so I can't really say whether they were that good or not (I like the Art of the State album tho'; first irrelevant point of the mail :)). There were movie type screens with, while the POS act went on, seemingly unrelated images compared to the music. A DJ came on. The less said the better IMHO. Orbital finally started at about 10pm. The order of the tunez: Forever Sad but True Impact (the USA style remix) Remind Monday (is it? can't remember; the one with the didgereedoo(sp) anyway). Crash and Burn (It's ages since I saw the song names; track 4 on the Snivilisation album anyway) pause..... Halcyon (Heaven is a place on Earth remix) long pause..... Chime Do I need to say it was excelent? If you saw the Channel 4 (UK) broadcast of the set then you'll get an idea of what was on the screens; including those waveforms. (They're fun to watch; but trying to dance at the same torm is a bit wierd). And, if you heard the John Peel radio program with most of the Glastonbury set then it was basically the same up to Monday.... But, of course, it was better live. Halcyon was definitely the highlight. While it was on, Belinda Carlisle: "Heaven is a place one earth" was mixed in; if I remember rightly, it was the "Ooh baby do you know what that's worth? Ooh heaven is a place on earth", but it might have been the second part of the chorus. Anyway, it has to be heard to be believed. Well, all that's to be said is that the concert was a sell out. But if you can see a later date, do so. Having listened to this track quite a few times now, I'd have to say it isn't. The voice just sounds like an East Coast (i.e. New South Wales [Syndey] or Queensland [Brisbane]) Australian accented scientist or philosopher that just sounds a bit like Rolf.
