It's an excellent resource about slugs and should be in every home library beside the medical book and dictionary. The Slug Manual by Jennifer James I would just add that Slugs make good pets... They never have to be walked or washed or combed. With no coaching at all, they bring little silver threads to decorate your deck and driveway. They even feed themselves. It's true they are reluctant to come in the house or to be petted; on the other hand, they won't hurt even the smallest child--not even if the child bites them. And they take up very little room in the yard; if one DOES get run over by the lawn mower or stepped on, there's always another right there to take his place... :-) Darlene Sybert vsa Central Missouri http://www.missouri.edu/~engds/index.html ********************************************************************* ...from the caves of deepest night, ascending in clouds of mist, The winter spread his wide black wings across from pole to pole: Grim frost beneath & terrible snow, link'd in a marriage chain, Began a dismal dance. -William Blake, *The Four Zoas,* Night VI ********************************************************************** ------------------------------ From: "DONNA GRADY" Date: 04 Feb 97 17:34:53 -0800 Subject: Re: gocco printer - --=_ORCL_29955546_0_11919702041839210 Content-Transfer-Encoding:7bit Content-Type:text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" What is a gocco printer? another newbie question. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ - --=_ORCL_29955546_0_11919702041839210 Content-Type:message/rfc822 Date: 04 Feb 97 15:54:31 From:"Holli Smith " To:rubberstampers@firewall.genie.net Subject:gocco printer Return-Path: X-Sender:holli@pop.mindspring.com (Unverified) X-Mailer:Windows Eudora Light Version 1.5.4 (32) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding:7bit Content-Type:text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hi All- I am debating asking the Valentine fairy for one of these for the special day gift (better than jewelry!!) An opportunity to share some of the info that I soaked up in the classes at the Grapevine convention. I spent most of the day on Sunday in classes, as I spent almost all my money in a wild rubber frenzie on Saturday! The lady (I forget her name, the owner) of Worth Repeating said she had been cleaning her stamps for years with Baby wipes and that she thought it was interesting that everyones complain was the danger of getting the ones with alchohol. BECAUSE all rubberstamp companies use alchohol to clean their MASTER stamps..... she said that she had used them forever on her stamps, most of them were master stamps, and they never hurt them. Just an interested observation from a rubber stamp company owner that you would think would know. I personally have used the wipes for four years are so. The only thing that really seems to hurt my stamps is the sun from the window that shines in on the shelves where they are stored. I think I have this solved by tucking black trash bags over the bins. No wonder he was upset. Thank you SSS!!! Received Evo's cardstock - absolutely beautiful, wonderful paper! Lots of colors and they're all gorgeous! Thanks for the selection Evo and hubby. X-File swap received - WOW! They're all up on the wall above my computer, they go well with the X-F wallpaper on my monitor's screen. I think all of them have been described so I won't do it again but I am quite impressed. These are worth their weight in gold! There is nothing else like them that I have found--and I searched the entire HIA show for several years now. They were made to cut Bonsai trees. I recently sent a pair for a lady to test that also uses some spring loaded Bonsai shears. I'll post when she gets back to me. It's the leverage you get from the sharp, short blades, and the comfort of the huge handle holes that make the KAI's so great. These scissors are worth the $20 to $30 retail price. I have seen some that look identical but less money, at the Cleveland convention last April, but they didn't hold a candle to the KAIS when we tested them. I have always discounted the KAI's to my HALOS customers, but I know that some of you don't use HALOS, so I will make the following offer. I have five Somerset magazines, a dozen Creating Keepsakes magazines, and lots of Snip Your Snapshot's -- a Fiskars scrapbook book. These sell for between $5 and $6.95 each. I will give you your choice of one of these magazines free with the purchase of the KAI's at the $20 price plus shipping. I'll send them 2 day priority for $3 postage, or regular mail which will probably only be about half the shipping. I did not know I was so low on KAI's, so will post when they are gone. I will be ordering more of everything mentioned, so you may send your check for $23 and indicate which of the magazines mentioned you want. I also have 36 of the new Rubber Stamper magazine ordered and will make the same offer when those arrive--but they are out of the Premiere issue and it will be the March issue--probably out later this month. I will not cash your check until the items are shipped to you. My snail addy is 2972 W. 10460 So, South Jordan, Utah 84095. Of course the next century begins with 2001, not 2000, just as this century began with 1901, and on and on, going back to the previous millenium, which began with the year 1, not the year 0.
