I've read about it on a couple of fan pages, but have no idea where to begin to look for it. I mean, I had to import three of Yello's last albumns, so finding a movie is out of the question. I have received six emails from people saying they were sorry and to re-instate them. I don't know who I blocked, I only blocked IP's and I have unblocked all of them. Which means that as of 7:30pm on March 31 Central US Time, all IP's have access. I DO NOT WANT TO BE A BABYSITTER! Some of you asked why I put up the non-rare Yello tunes in the first place. The answer is a two-parter. 1.) I used to have 2 Yello dirs on the server, BIG hassle to listen to music, had to sift through both, it's much easier to have one with all my Yello. 2.) There are people with a scrached CD that cannot pick up a track or two without a tick here and there (skips), here is a place to find a good copy. Not all of my Mp3's are Flawless, but most are. Please don't pull whole albums out of curtesy to Yello and other Yello users on the FTP. Next time I will tell you who was the winner and so on.This way some mail is still sent to the group because I feel a dead smell on the list. I put PU on a tape yesterday and based on the Maxell XLII tape, I can tell you that the last thing that was recorded on side 1 was the first 10 seconds of resistor. Still, those who ansered Pan Blue or who said that real yello lovers wouldn't put half a song on 1 side are also partially right. IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE? or is my mail being reduced to dust somewhere? Anyway, I haven't had any April fools jokes so that was an improvement. Last year they made me call up a certain phone number and ask for John Bear. The answer was that they only had a Yogi Bear and he was behind bars. Real fun when they make you call the Antwerp zoo. Yes, I'm the one who used to call myself Random Toxy, when I had a special email address for the mailinglists I'm on. Speaking about that, I guess we all know of mister Random Tox and his Turnex, but have you guys missed the Random Toxy who is mentioned in one of the songs on "You gotta say yes..."? I don't remember the name of the song, probably "Heavy whispers" or "Smile on you", but I think you know wich one I mean if I tell you that it's the one where Dieter sings about quite a lot of persons, all of them with peculiar names, like Random Toxy, Sloopy Slunder, Sandy Hooker, Rosita Delicious, etc. Now you know why I called myself Random Toxy and not Random Tox... When it comes to recording PU on a C90 tape, won't there be a difference between theory and practical recording. I mean, most C90 tapes are between 46-48 minutes long on one side, so I guess it comes down to which cassette type you use... Btw, this contest was a worst case scenario to me: I can only use my email account at work and the day before the contest began they had to shut down the server and I haven't been able to see the questions until today - AAAARGH! Best wishes to you all - 'cause we are more than two, aren't we?!? - - Hank B (a.k.a. Thanks Musky is the name of a track from Carl Cox's album, released 1996 called "At the end of the cliche". It does not have Dieter's vocals on it, which is the only difference from "Magnetic" on Pocket Universe. nic - -- - -- We are the architects, not the victims, of our own destiny -- - -- nic nic at python.demon.co.uk http://www.python.demon.co.uk/ -- - -- Bolton, UK website http://www.bolton.ac.uk/bolton/ -- # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Email majordomo@xmission.com with "info yello" in the message. # Postings must go to yello@xmission.com -- replies go to original sender. # Yello discography available at http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?yello ------------------------------ End of yello-digest V2 #37 **************************
