Korean Kingdom of Kogoryo
Centralized under Sosurim (371-384 CE), Kogoryo greatly expanded under the famous king Kwanggaet'o and his heir. The push to the the northern end of the peninsula and into Manchuria met with greater success than the campaigns against Silla.Embracing Buddhism in 372 CE, the kingdom also tolerated Daoism and Confucianism as part of a sinicization program. One element of this was a 12-level bureaucracy, topped by the tae-daero or prime minister.
