Nobades Kingdom
A Nubian kingdom built on the ashes of the former Meroitic state of Napata. They were at various times in their history called to defend the Roman frontier from the Blemmye, moving from the nomadic homes in the Sahara at the behest (and funding) of Diocletian. The recent end to the flow of good Roman gold has left the leadership mystified.
