The following pictures were
taken in Queensland I believe, by loggers harvesting red gum burl.
Note the size difference in both the tree and burl as opposed to those
in the previous page. Some of these giant burls weigh more than
the whole red morrel trees of Western Au. A little water makes a
huge difference!!

 Don't
we wish all burls would grow this large and be as conveniently
placed.

 Another
large red gum burl ....not quiet as convenient as the one in the
previous picture but not bad.

 This
one should be beautiful...it will weigh about a ton!!

 Ready
to be cut into table slabs...or maybe a lot of bottle stoppers.

the right of the cutter.
