Large White ash bowl
20" high and 25" across. Most of the rough turning and
carving is completed. The walls are about 1" thick at this
juncture. The piece will cure and relax a while. Then
the wall thickness will reduced and final sanding will start.
The same piece...different view below. This is one of 4 ash
pieces in progress.

Same piece as in the picture above, rotated a bit. |

Third view of the ash piece shown in
the two pics above, rotated almost 180 degrees from the first pic.
This piece is Green Ash Sculpted Vessel #3 on the
Gallery Page. |
 This
is a 21" tall Tasmanian Eucalyptus burl vase. Most of the
rough turning and carving have been completed, it will have to dry
then then it will be carved to its final thickness...about half
what it is now. The completed piece is on page one of Skips
Gallery. |

This is the backside view of the same
piece shown in the picture above. |
Rough stages of a carved white top
Eucalyptus burl vessel. About 20" across and 14" tall.
|

Rough working of another Whitetop
Eucalyptus vessel, about 15" tall. Not the same piece as in
the picture above. The completed piece is on page one of Skips
Gallery. |

Another view of the piece above.
The final wall thickness will be substantially less than the
existing 1".
