Windows NT 3.1 backup does recognize removable media drives.
Windows NT will not detect removable drives such as the
Bernoulli drive or floptical drives, however can be worked around by doing the following:
Open Windows NT file manager and share the removable media.
Connect to the shared drive from either file manager or through DOS.
Once a disk is within the drive, you will be able to use Windows NT to backup the
removable drive as a shared device.
Can I use DOS / Windows Diskcopy command?
Do not attempt to use DOS or Windows DISKCOPY
command. Doing so will cause the target disk to become unreadable. If this is attempted,
you will have to format the disks, causing all data to be lost.
