The DVD audio is always
transferred digitally from the DVD drive the decoder / sound card.
Therefore, when playing a
DVD movie you will not be able to hear the DVD like you would on a standard CD-ROM drive.
Solution:
Connect the headphones to the sound card and
not to the DVD player.
