How to view the date in Microsoft Windows.

Question:

How to view the date in Microsoft Windows.

Answer:

While in Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, users may wish to view the date.  Without clicking, place your mouse cursor over the time in the Windows systray. This will open a balloon that gives you the computer's date.

Users may also double-click the time to open the Date/Time Properties window to view the date, time, and a calendar.

If you have questions about changing the date or time, please see document CH000554.

Users who wish to change the way Microsoft Windows displays the time and/or date will need to download a third-party program to do this. The default installation of Windows does not provide any tools to change this feature's appearance.
