forums you are almost definitely going to get an answer to your

How do I register?
Any users are able to view the thousands of posts made by
members. However, if you wish to create your own post or want to
ask a question you must register first. Registering with
Computer Hope is still 100% free and you can register by

I get the error
"Username does not exist."
The username and password are
case
sensitive, which means if your username was "chuser"
and you attempted to log in as "CHUSER" you would get
this error. Make sure you type the username in the same way you
typed it in to register it.
I forgot my password or my password
doesn't work.
Once you have registered you will be sent an e-mail
with your username and password. Make sure you're using this
information as your login. If you did not receive this e-mail or
no longer have it you can have a reminder e-mail sent to you
with your login information by
clicking here. You must either enter your username or e-mail
address as a form of verification.
If you are still having defaulting logging into your account
you can also contact the
webmasters
for additional help.
How do I change my
password?
Once you have created your account and logged into the Computer
Hope forums you can change your password by clicking on the Profile
button ( ) at the top of the page to access your account
profile. In this section you will be able to change your password as
well as all your other user settings. The password settings are
under Account Related Settings.
Note: You will not be able to see the Profile link if you
are currently not logged in or logged in as a Guest.
I forgot my username or
get told my e-mail was already in use.
An e-mail address can only be registered once on the Computer
Hope forums. If you have registered in the past then you must use
the same username you originally registered as. You can have a
reminder e-mail sent to you with your login information by
clicking here.
How do I post my own message?
Before posting your message we recommend
you make sure the question has not already been asked on the
forums by searching the forums, visit our
online help section for a quick and easy way to search the
forums.
If you have searched the forums and are unable to find the
answer to your question determine the category of what your
question relates to. For example, if your question relates to
Microsoft Windows you would first open the "Microsoft Windows"
category. Once in the category click the new topic button ( ) located in the top right section of
the page to post your message. This will open a new page where you
can create and post your message.
If you're viewing a topic you would like to make a reply,
suggestion, or other comment on click the Reply button ( )
located at the top and bottom of a post.

Why am I banned or prohibited
from using the Computer Hope forums?
Users who misbehave or do not follow the Computer Hope forum
rules at any time will be banned by their account if it exists as well as by
their unique IP address. Users can also be banned from this
service if they misbehave in other Computer Hope services such as
the Computer Hope chat. If you have been banned from the
Computer Hope forums you will not be allowed to use our service
again. No exceptions. In some situations users who connect
to the Internet with a Modem
on popular services such as AOL may get a notification that
they're banned. Unfortunately this is due to the fact that
someone using your IP address
in the past has been banned. These bans can also not be
reversed. How can I report a user
for any misbehaver?
Users can report other users and/or posts by clicking on the
Report to moderator link on each post, sending the "Computer
Hope Admin" a private message, and/or by sending the e-mail
to the Computer Hope webmasters.
How can I modify my
signature, sex, birth date, location or other profile settings?
You can modify your profile settings such as your gender,
birthdate, location, etc. by clicking the Profile button () at the top of each page.
Why am I not
getting a reply to my message or post?
When using the Computer Hope forums make sure to post your
computer question and not send your question directly to Computer
Hope or another user.
If you have posted a message on the Computer Hope forums and you
are still not getting an answer to your question it's very possible
that no one is currently logged onto the forums that knows your
answer. Try checking back again in a few hours or days to see if
your post has had a reply. If you continue to not get a post
reply to your own question with additional information or asking if
anyone has any ideas. Why am I getting
e-mails from the Computer Hope forum?
If you've select the option to receive notifications anytime a
post or post on a board occurs. You will receive e-mails about these
changes. If you wish to discontinue notifications you can adjust
your notifications through your profile () at the top of each page.
Within your Profile click the Notifications and Email option
and disable the notifications you wish to no longer receive. Does it cost money to
become a Computer Hope member?
You're welcome to use the Computer Hope forums as either a guest
or a member. If you would like to post your own questions or
comments you must register. Registering to become a member on Computer Hope does
not cost money and is still 100% free.
How do I post pictures
on the forums?
Any forum member can post pictures to help describe or answer a
question. To post a picture on the forums follow either of
the below steps. Post a picture on Computer Hope's server
- Create a new message or reply to another message.
- In the message topic under the message you're typing click
the Additional Options... and Browse to the location of
the image you wish to post.
Post a picture on a third-party server There are dozens of third-party locations that will host
your pictures for you and allow you to post those pictures on
any other web page. See document

How do I edit my post?
After you've created a post you're more than welcome to edit
the post any time. To do this simply open the post and in the
top right portion of the post will be a Modify button ( ).
Clicking this button will allow you to edit your post.
Note: Unless you're an administrator or moderator
you'll only be able to edit your own posts.
How do I delete my post?
After you've created a post you're more than welcome to
delete the post, although we suggest you keep the post on the
forum for other users who may have a similar question. To delete
a post open the post and in the top right portion of the post
will be a Delete button ( ).
Clicking this button will allow you to delete your post.
Note: This will only delete your post and not any
other reply that has been made to your post.
How do I unsubscribe from the forums?
We hate to see any user unsubscribe from the Computer Hope
forums. However, for those users who wish to unsubscribe or
delete their account you can do this by clicking the Profile
button ()
at the top of the page. Within the Profile click the Delete
this account link. In order to delete the account you must
