There are two main types of computer cables, a data cable and a power
cable. A data cable is a cable that provides communication
between devices. For
example, the data cable that connects your
monitor to your computer and allows
your computer to display a picture on the monitor. A power cable is
a cable that powers a device. For example, the
power cord that connects to your computer or monitor to allow it to
turn on and work. 2. Cable can also refer to a cable
modem and/or a type of cable broadband
Internet connection provided by a local company such as the
phone or cable company. Cable offers a significant speed increase
in Internet performance when compared to a
computer modem and today is one of the
fastest and best types of broadband solutions.
Comcast is a widely used
cable Internet provider in the United States.
