above each other ( : ) that is found on the same
key as
the semicolon on standard United States
keyboards. An example of where colons are used with
computers is when specifying a
drive
letter in
MS-DOS.
For example, typing in "A:" at the
MS-DOS
prompt would
switch
to the A drive or
floppy drive
and allow you to read a floppy diskette.
