a cursor is a visual representation on the screen that allows the
user to specify where they want text to be placed. Commonly, this
cursor is a vertical flashing
line more commonly known as a i-cursor.
- When referring to the mouse, the
cursor is used to describe the object used to point,
click, drag and drop items on a GUI operating system.
