Indent

When referring to text, indent is the process of moving the beginning of a sentence or paragraph inward. In many programs an indent can be easily created by pressing the tab key on the keyboard. A typical indent is five spaces from the left-hand or right-hand of the page.

This is an example of indented text.

  • Additional information and help with indenting text in HTML or on your web page can be found on document CH001034.
