NBT

NBT, or NetBIOS over TCP/IP, is defined in RFC 1001 and RFC 1002 and is a protocol that supports NetBIOS services on TCP/IP.

Users using a Microsoft operating systems can see the computer's NBT status by using the nbtstat command.
