Goku swallows a Senzu, but his strength is not restored.
The only explanation is that the terminal illness Trunks warned Goku about must be taking
hold!
Goku finds himself on the losing end of a one-sided battle against No. 19, until finally he
is no longer able to maintain his Super Saiyan form and returns to his normal state.
No. 19 continues to assault Goku by absorbing his energy.
Suddenly, Vegeta attacks No. 19, freeing Goku!
Surprising everyone, Vegeta appears in a Super Saiyan form!
As the others wonder how this can be, Vegeta explains that he trained for a long time to bridge
the gap in strength that Kakarrot had opened up between the two of them.
Vegeta grew furious that no matter how hard he trained, he could not measure up to Kakarrot's
Super Saiyan abilities.
It was this intense self-anger that finally pushed Vegeta over the edge and allowed him to
become a Super Saiyan.
