However, since No. 20 has no Ki for them to sense, they are unable to locate him. Just then, No. 20 attacks Piccolo! Piccolo has his energy absorbed from him, and nearly loses consciousness. Gohan steps in and manages to rescue Piccolo. Piccolo recovers his energy, and takes on No. 20 alone. Piccolo proves to be more than a match, and after a chain of heavy blows, slices off one of No. 20's hands at the wrist! Even without Goku's help, Piccolo, Vegeta and the others were able to overpower and defeat the Artificial Humans. A teenage Trunks shows up to assist, only to be astonished by the appearance of No. 19 and No. 20. These Artificial Humans were different from the ones in the future!
