With a day remaining until planetfall, Goku finally completes his 100 times normal Earth gravity training. He seems relatively pleased with the results, and prepares himself for the upcoming landing. Meanwhile, on Planet Namek, Vegeta finally catches up with Kuririn and Gohan, who plan to ask the Grand Elder to release the sleeping power dormant inside of Gohan. To buy time for this to occur, Kuririn volunteers to confront the Saiyan while Gohan receives the power-up. Vegeta blows by this nuisance, thinking that the final Dragon Ball he needs to achieve immortality is just on the mountain ahead.

    He arrives on the mountain, and shortly afterwards feels a tremendous power inside the strange dwelling. Vegeta mistakes it to be that of Kakarrot's, and is shocked to find out that the huge power instead belongs to Gohan. Amidst this surprise, Dende rushes out shouting that something is arriving towards Namek. Vegeta counts five extremely strong Ki, and correctly deduces that the Ginyu Special Corps are making planetfall on Namek now.

     The Ginyu Special Corps crash-land next to Freeza's spaceship, and proceed to introduce themselves. After a campy display that leaves their master speechless, Freeza informs them of the current situation. Freeza is given a special advanced scouter, and the team set out to track down Vegeta and the Dragon Balls using their own advanced scouters.
