September 26, 2005 - Welcome to our little slice of the Internet. This might be a good way for us to post news and updates about our lives.
CARI
Cari is back in school with only 9 credit hours and NO STUDENT GOVERNMENT (yay!) Her classes include Corporate Issues in Multimedia, Senior Projects, and Writing for Multimedia. Cari is very excited to be nearly finished with her requirements for her Bachelor's Degree. . .
. . . So am I.
MIKE
I decided not to go back to school this semester. Two reasons: Tuition, and Income-- as in, the two weren't getting along very well. I completed my first part-time summer at the Heber Valley Railroad, and the less time I work there means more time I can work for John Rimmasch and his company WASATCH RAILROAD CONTRACTORS.
Recently, Cari and I were able to travel to Cheyenne, WY and Silver Plume, CO to help John do a emergency preparedness training for the Georgetown Loop Railroad. I also have been busy working on the operations rule book for that railroad, and it looks as though the railroad would like us to do a conductor/brakeman training manual.
John and I have been talking quite a bit about putting me to work full time for him. This would be very good for us because it would help get some debts paid off, help Cari get finished with school, and help us put some savings away for the future.
Cari and I had a wonderful time. CLICK HERE for pictures of our trip.
