Like a lot of people, I was considering getting a Playstation 3, primarily because of its ability to play Blu-Ray discs. It also had the ability to run an "alternate OS," (GNU/Linux), and that was also a big plus. For whatever reason, Sony decided to remove the latter feature with a firmware update. Karma is a bitch when it comes back and bites your bum.
