MtMan-List: #5 Traps

Just to let you know, Montgomery Fur in Ogden, UT has #5 traps available.
They are running $20 each and $220 dozen.  If you're trapping beaver, these
larger traps are most useful.  The traps weigh about 4 1/2 pounds.

My trapping partner Rick Palmer pulled out a 55 pound beaver this morning
using one of these traps.  So we know they hold good enough.  The beaver was
caught on a side stream of the Lewis fork of the Snake River, right near
where Osborne Russel described hot springs and seeing numerous mountain
sheep.  Mountain sheep aren't around anymore, but the hot springs and beaver
are!
