Re: MtMan-List: Cabelas Flintlock -- Historically Accurate?
Thanks for the many comments and suggestions. Even the rather blunt
responses gave me a chuckle as well as bringing the point home.
I had been looking off and on at the Blue Ridge rifles (Cabella's)
while also looking at some Jaeger and Kentucky/Pennsylvania kits
offered by other folks ( Golden Age Firearms being one).
After hearing you all, I got very convinced to go with the kit. I'll
just have to work slow and careful and seek a little advice from time
to time.
Now Since I will be reenacting my anscestors who came over from
Germany in the 1750s, I just have to figure out if I want to go with
the Kentucky/Pennsylvania rifle or the Jaeger! I know they used both
of these in hunting and skirmishes.
