Have never seen any, but all the people around where I live, scenic, sunny, Southwestern Oklahoma, talk about growing it for commercial purposes. Many that are my age said it was their job when they were in high school to go out and cut it. From what they say, it is grown specifically for broom straw, it is not a by product of something else.
