-- SAY! --

What is a label?

A label is a business front for legitimate art; without a label you can't get (wide) distribution and without distribution, you won't get press. RESMO receives lots of queries about what kind of music we are looking for. The answer is, none. We have several CDs we want to promote over the next year or two and that keeps all of us occupied full time.

Our unsolicited advice, then? Start a label!

You'll retain artistic control, have a stronger financial interest and learn more about the realities of the music business.

Note that the ubiquitous links to well-known sites like IUMA, MIDI Resources etc have been removed. You've already been there, done that and have the T-shirt, n'est-ce pas?

Digital Guitar Digest articles on guitar synthesizers and technology

"The whole PREMISE of th' 'zine (as well as the tapes issued under the Zzaj Productions label) is that RECORD COMPANY MOGULS needed to WAKE UP & smell th' sewer (they'd produced)..."
