Beaver County is dominated by intrusive and extrusive igneous rock.
Many small intrusive ranges in the area provide an abundance of mineral
collecting opportunities. It is one of the most mineral rich areas in
the state and an absolutey fantastic area for the mineral specimen collector.

While specimens can be found everywhere in this vicinity, the best collecting seems to be whitin a half mile from Rock Corral picnic area. |
