From the visitor center at Cedar Breaks National Monument,
drive north 7 miles to the Sugarloaf Mountain Road. Follow this for
0.1 mile to a fork and stay to the right. Immediately there will be
another fork bear right again. 1.2 miles from the highway is third
fork, stay left. At 2.5 miles is another fork, stay left again. At
3.4 miles from the highway is a dirt road going left. This is the
road to the Twisted Forest trailhead. Drive up this road and park
in the loop. Agate can be found all over the immediate area. |

Take Utah highway 56 west out of Cedar City. The dumps
of the iron mines are clearly visible along Highway 56 and side roads
that lead to Iron Springs and Desert Mound. Washes along the road
to Desert Mound contain abundant magetite crystals and nodules. |

Canyon. The outcrop is located along the road, about 0.6 mil past
milepost 10, ater emerging from the narrowest part of the canyon.

a place to park. |
