Springtime Bliss

by Julia L. Nielsen, 21 March 2001

Picturesque scenes of blossoming life,
Setting the stage for the approaching springtime.
Flowers of Gold, Purple and red,
Reaching out, welcoming spring ahead.

Kites in the breeze,
waving across the sky,
children filled with gleeful laughter
as they watch clouds go by.

The warmth touches the earth,
The sun blazing bright,
The still brisk air,
When it recedes into night.

The cool, fresh rain
watering the newly cut grass.
Then a vibrant rainbow,
When the storm has passed.

Frilly pink dresses,
Twirling around
As little girls smile,
Without a sound.

The humming bird's melodies,
Sweet, as they sing
The eagles that soar,
As they spread their wings.

March, April May,
The weather bears its sign,
The wonders of the season,
Oh, how I love the springtime.
