A Friend

I have a friend who is special to me,

A friend in need who has set me free!

A friend who listens with a careful ear,

Then sets me right with advice so clear.

I have a friend who is caring and kind,

One who has given me much peace of mind.

This friend has counsel that is on the mark.

To this counsel so clear I know I must hark.

I have a Heavenly Sister, Who with love and concern.

Gives me all of the tools that allows me to learn.

To lengthen my stride, in our Father's Plan.

She has reminded me of the skills so that I truly can.

To this Sister from Heaven; a caring soul.

My heartfelt thanks for clarifying my goals!!

Your advice and counsel, a voice full of reason.

Has strengthened my resolve, stopped my graspin' and seizin'.

Your friendship; like platinum; is of very high price,

I hope it endures way past Paradise.

My heartfelt gratitude I leave with you now,

This is something I would never disavow!

Your Spirit Celestial, is one of God's finest.

Of that many people I'm sure will attest.

If ever your kindness I could return at all,

I commit to you surely you need but to call!!!
