Force Five

Who are these guys anyway?

Ok, so that EVERYONE knows.... Force Five was my first and most successful gaming group in the game Star Frontiers by TSR. In their many years of play, the characters gained dimension and depth to them. They became more than just marks on a paper with a name. The group consists of the following members.

Force Five was originally a Streel special ops team. That is where they met and then went through the Volturnus modules. After Volturnus, the team left Streel (read Yazin's Tale: Warrior's blood) and formed Force Five.

Of course, the team had to get around. Their main vehicle was Explorer 1. This is not the only vehicle they ever used but was easily the most common. Second was perhaps Yazin's modified groundcycle.

Explorer 1- Heavily Modified Explorer vehicle. Yazin and Slim's creation. Yazin drives Ex 1 most of the time. He is very protective of "his baby." Yazin has a battle rage bonus when behind the wheel of any vehicle, especially Explorer 1. (This was downplayed later) Yazin's driving ability (some would call it inability) has saved the Force almost as many times as it has gotten them into serious trouble.

The members of the Force would often act independently of each other after the formation of Force Five. Hawk and Yazin worked together and with another group called Vendetta Inc. several times (with varying degrees of success). Skitzi was once called in to fix a corporate computer problem (big one). And Slim was always showing up with equipment modifications. Valence kept everyone alive and was instrumental in the colonization of several new worlds.

The story "Yazin's Tale: Warrior's Blood" will give some depth to the Force, and a whole lot of background. This is Yazin's story, and I have been asked to write a story for all of the Force. I'm still thinking about it (this one took up too much time as it was).

The team was very successful and sort of "retired" later. After that, the adventures of Yazin jr. started to take shape. Then, I "grew up" a bit and didn't play SF for a long time. Then, interest was renewed by conversations with the many people on the internet.

Today, I play an earlier version of Yazin (the original is too Badd). He is currently on Volturnus with a different party in a game run by a good friend. The rest of the team will most likely stay retired, with the possible exception of Hawk who may just show up again.
