A starship that has been missing for several days is believed to
have crashed into the planet the players are on.
The players must locate the ship, rescue any survivors
and find out why the ship crashed.
An aerial search has already spotted a grove of barren trees that might have been burned in a fire started by the ship, but the ship could not be seen from the air. The players are landed near this area and are given a homing device that can detect the ship's emergency beacon.

The characters first notice that only the upper forest vegetation has been burned in the area where they start their search. The ship is obviously some distance away. The homing device comes alive, pointing them to the southeast.
The players find the ship's detached emergency beacon lodged in a tree. After dealing with a deadly pack of strangler chute creatures that drift through the area, the players deduce that since the wind is blowing from the southwest, the beacon may have blown in from that direction.
Continuing their search, the players reach a narrow stream. The far bank of the stream is blackened by an oil slick, so the players choose to travel upstream. This leads them to a swamp that is dotted with patches of oil. They soon find that a 20-meter long Sathar Slither monster is waiting for them in the swamp!
To the west, the players can see a small number of flying lizard scavengers circling in the air. This is usually a sign that something nearby is dead, so the players rush over at once to see what is going on. Two Yazirian bodies lie dead beneath the flying lizards. Each body is dressed in a work uniform labeled, "Hepplewhite, Inc."
The wrecked ship is nearby, buried in vines, oil and smoke. A search beneath the vines reveals an entry hatch that has been blown open.

This ship is plagued with dangers, like collapsing floors, hot wreckage, spark-spitting live wires, and a poisonous slime bug. From the looks of the engine compartment, the ship could burst into flames at any minute, so there is not much time. A thorough search reveals a number of dead crewmen. A recording the players find informs them that there was a sudden explosion aboard the ship, and that someone named Rinny is missing. Extensive analysis of the ship's cargo hold confirms that a bomb was detonated there.
At the far end of the ship's interior, hidden behind piles of smoking wreckage, is a Yazirian child, hiding in fear. The players find that, although terrified, the child is unhurt. The players rush out of the ship, taking the child with them, and report that the ship was deliberately destroyed by a demolitions expert.
