Twilight Dancer Gear

by Dean Bailey
Lt Birrkh looked down at his data pad as he walked away from
his troop. The gear stores may seem impressive at first, he
thought, but this has got to last us at least two months - possible
more. If we have to go planetside for any reason we could get
caught without supply. Afterall, the Kneis-Enau cant just cough
up Legion equipment.
He sighed and thought about the two Legionaires he had down in
the cargo hold working on storage arrangements for the two cargo
pods. I hope all goes well with the transfer....
His mind wandered to the Legion Dropship as he passed through
the docking collar and into the Destroyer. It was a battered
craft, but a tried and true design that had not had significant
re-mods since it was put into service. What was the ships
designater?... QuickDeath? ... Ahh I dont remember. Just hope
the rest of the Legionaires prepping that ship and Dorch, the
pilot, are ready when we need to pull out.

OK guys, I have had alot of requests for what type of gear the
Legion uses. This is your issued "kit" that you are required
to maintain. Once on board the ship, you will also be issued
your weapon (which you clean daily and "Lasertag-like" practice
with in a Holographic environment room - NOT LIKE ST, the images
play off the walls from a projector in the center of the room.
You have to stay behind a line (you can move laterally only) and
tgt practice, or shoot laser pulses at the images as if in battle.
It is all 3D, but if you concentrate, you can see the walls of
the room....) I will post a pic of your armor to Laynes web page
so you can see a close example of what you will be wearing.
There will also be a pic of the Kneis-Enau (if it comes out!)

Standard Legionaire Kit

Black "bodygove" military Skeinsuit
Grey plasteel bodyarmor - light weight
Grey beret (combat), white beret (dress/shipside)
Black military combat belt, wide with 2 side ammunition pouches
Chrono comm - toxy rad guage guantlet (left arm)
Standard small "day" backpack
Thigh Holster
2 canteens
Sungoggles

Weapons:

Combat stun stick
Long knife (15" blade, "brass knuckle" finger guard, rubber hand grip)
AM Tech 2 std laser pistol
FEK MkIIIc9 Assualt rifle (needler)
Ammo issue as required

These two cargo pods are located on the Starboard side of the
Kneis-Enau just under the deck that contains the dropship. One
of the Centurians is currently the quartermaster and he has adopted
Leg. Sug as his assistant. It is a VERY SORRY Legionaire
that destroys/loses/sells/wastes Legion supplies/gear. "Didnt
Harrison get a 20 lashing Electro-flogging that time he traded his
beret for a beer??"
Remember that this is all you will get for some time. There
is no way to replenish in deep space.......
