Twilight Dancer Sugg 1

by Dean Bailey
You head toward the KNEIS-ENAU with Centurion Vit'Atik, the Vrusk, who is
setting a blistering pace with his multiple spindly legs. He boards the
gangplank and stops halfway up the transparisteel tubeway. Facing the aft
(back) of the ship, he smartly salutes and spins toward the main airlock hatch.
You mimic his movements and follow.
You stare about in wide eye-spot wonder at the layout of this magnificent
old beast as you enter. The Officer of the Deck unsuccessfully hides a snear
as you step into the airlock and request permission to come aboard. The red
braid catches your attention and the black duty belt with shoulder strap are
finely shined saying something of the ship's crewmen. A light PPK Raffluer
M-1 in a shiny holster helps you keep your gob closed about the snear too.
The many Blue/White/Silver uniforms move in a blur past you as they go about
their duties.
" Come with me down to the cargo deck. We have our own place on the
starboard side of this old heap."
You have to move quickly or Vit'Atik would leave you behind. He does
not seem to concerned that you make it down with him.
Finally, after a few elevator rides and some stairs and pressure doors
you find yourself in what Vit'Atik calls the "forward cargo bay area".
There are already several various sized cargo pods in the bay.
" They will be loading two more pods for us before we pull out. Let's
inventory what we got already and make sure it is locked down for getting
underway. The Lieutenant will be down shortly, so HUP, HUP!

You are left standing in the bay as the Vrusk moves about and begins to
read his data padscreen. What do you say/do/etc?
