Kare was born on Triad (Cassidine) to a wealthy family. She received the best education money and influence could buy. From the windows of her skyscraper penthouse, Kare could see other people living...lives. She longed for the life they lived, exciting, challanging, filled with options and emotions. Kare always had a way with computers and electrical things, why not nearly all her friends were electrical. Plus, if she ever wanted to leave her home she would have to get past the electric locks and doors.

At age 14 Kare ran away from home. On the streets of Triad she eventually made her way to the poor sections of town. There she joined a band of runaways that fancyed themselves as techthieves. With Kare's abilities she quickly made friends.

By age 18 Kare found herself on a spacestation orbiting Triad. The run-aways she had stayed with had attracted the attention of streetgangs, police, techthieves, etc. and where crushed out of existence. Kare tried to support herself by repairing scrap bots and trying to sell them. No one wanted to by an old, that were more then likely stolen. With warrents for her arrest still out for her, Kare knew it would only be a matter of time before she was arrested, so she hide away on a shuttle. There on the station a starship caugth her attention and images of alien worlds filled her mind. Being the proactive person she is, she attempted to stowaway. She was caught and the crew of the ZAID to pity on her and didn't throw her out the nearest airlock.

The ZAID was owned by the GMC (Gypsy Moon Corp.) and over time Kare became a strong voice in the GMC. Kare would also become close to a Yazirian named Blackjack who himself left home at a early age and joined a speedtribe. The story goes on but is not useful beyond this point.
