Pan-Galactic Corporation Datafile: Urugg sur-Innesti
Birthworld: Hargut / Gruna Garu
Age: 29 GST years
Background: Urugg sur-Innesti was born on the heavily populated resource world of Hargut. Born into a large family, he was raised in one of the planet's numerous mining colonies. Early academic testing revealed a high intelligence, outgoing personality and high leadership potential. Urugg excelled in both primary and secondary schools, developing a strong interest in biology and ecology in his adolescent years. During this time guidance counselors noted strong anti-corporate feelings; these feelings appear to have developed because Urugg perceived the abundant mining operations on Hargut to be degrading and / or destroying its native ecology. Disciplinary action was taken against sur-Innesti on several occasions for anti-mining corporation activities including participating in public protests and minor acts of vandalism. These activities subsided with Urugg's admission to Klaktow Polytechnic University, from which he graduated with a degree in biological science; his academic studies concentrated on biology and geophysics. Following graduation he spent several years doing graduate fieldwork on the outpost planet Histran (Scree Fron system); here he acquired formidable wilderness skills, field medical skills and a proficiency with projectile weapons. After several years on Histran, Urugg and his family were unable to continue paying for his studies, and he has been forced to do freelance consulting work for clients needing biosocial expertise. He is presently out of work, and was last sighted debarking from an inbound passenger vessel on Gran Quivera. It is possible he may have entered that system seeking employment with the UPF government, most likely with the Planetary Survey Administration; if so, it would appear the application is on hold or has been rejected, since no record of his being hired by the UPF is on public file.
Psychological Profile: Like most Yazirians, Urugg sur-Innesti is a strong-minded individual and does not give in to others easily. His high intelligence and social personality allowed him to make friends and gain quickly in new surroundings, and his honesty and fairness make his close associates loyal and unlikely to betray him. He has had some exposure to non-Yazirian societies but prefers the company of Yazirians to other species. Most of his friends and all of his closest companions are Yazirians, although this may change since he has left Yazirian space seeking work. He is very loyal to his family and close associates, which may become a liability if they are threatened by his enemies. In general, Urugg may be characterised as a determined. persistent individual; he also has a voracious curiosity which has led him into trouble in the past. He has no affiliation with any cult or cadre at present, but consistently exhibits strong opinions about megacorp mining activities on the Frontier; Urugg sees such operations as having a reckless disregard for the biological systems they disturb and would prefer to see all mining activities restricted to sterile moons and asteroids. Probably due to his fieldwork and attachment to biological systems, he prefers the outdoors to enclosed areas and will preferentially choose window seating when in a vehicle or spacecraft. He appears to be slightly claustrophobic and avoids small, cramped rooms if given a choice. He has spent little time in space; though he has experienced and enjoys zero-gee, he dislikes the artificial environment of space stations and spends as little time as necessary when passing through them.
Physical Profile: Due to the high gravity of his homeworld, Urugg is atypical for his species. At 1.9 meters, he is shorter than the average Yazirian but is powerfully built due to his youth under a high gravity field. Although he lost muscle mass during his fieldwork on Histran (0.6 G), he is still somewhat stronger than the average for his race. His skin is a light tan as is the short fur which covers his body; his mane is a light brown, giving him a somewhat leonine appearance. Like others of his kind, he is usually clad in a tunic and cape with waist belt and crossed belts across the chest. Probably due to his recent stint in Histran's wilderness, he prefers clothing in natural colors (various browns and greens); he also has been seen wearing clothing in yellows and reds. Waist and chest belts are of brown or black natural leather, though he has recently worn synthetic leather belts as well (he is probably unable to afford more expensive natural products at present). When in the field, he wears a camouflage military skeinsuit and has a special set of chest belts with numerous hooks, clips and attachments for small items such as flashlights, everflames and grenades. Unlike many Yazirians, he wears mitten-like boots at all times when he leaves his quarters; this again is probably a habit developed in the wilderness on Histran. In any but dim lighting conditions he will wear one of several pairs of sungoggles he owns, and he always carries a spare pair in case of breakage.
PGC Threat Profile: Urugg sur-Innesti at present presents little if any threat to this corporation. Though his obvious distaste for megacorporate mining is unfortunate, he has not acted on these opinions in any damaging manner since his youth. His high intelligence and leadership potential make him a potentially valuable asset; though he would never actually hire on with a megacorp such as ours, his present lack of money to finance his studies makes him available on an ongoing basis in a freelance capacity.
