; Today's image shows a midget in the Z^(1.5)+C fractal.  As is 
; true with all fractals created with fractional powers of Z, the 
; features are discontinuous.  This discontinuity prevents any 
; well-defined pattern from emerging around the midgets in the 
; parent fractal, but there are still less-obvious differences to 
; be noticed.

; Today's image is one of the more striking ones I have found to 
; date in the fractals with exponents between 1 and 2.  I named it 
; "A Quarter of Six", which is not the time of day, but refers to 
; the fact that the exponent of Z, which is 1.5, is one-quarter of 
; 6.  The fact that the rating is also a 6 and the render time is 
; 6 minutes is purely coincidental.

; With lots of sun and a high temperature of 66F 19C, Thursday was 
; mild enough here at Fractal Central.  But the wind was quite 
; gusty, and fractal cats do not like high winds, which cover the 
; sound of approaching danger, so their outdoor time was limited 
; to under one hour.  Though they did not demand a tuna treat in 
; the evening, I rewarded them with a treat anyway.  This morning 
; is starting cloudy and chilly, with showers forecast.  It could 
; be another less-than-perfect day for the duo.  For me it looks 
; like a rather busy day coming up.  The next FOTD will appear in
