Today's scene lies on a tiny side filament extending ; from the large hole. ; ; I named the image "The Wheel of Life". Trying to organize my ; philosophy, I have worked myself into a kind of mystical mood ; lately, and the name fits my mood. Instead of the usual black ; background, today's image has a brilliant white background, ; which emphasizes the many sub-holes scattered through it. ; ; The rating of a 7 seems about right. The colors are quite ; intense, perhaps a bit too intense, and the 'tdis' outside ; option works quite well at bringing a sense of 3-D reality to ; the image. The magnitude of the image is in the range where ; strange things start to happen with its size unless the ; mathtolerance entry is included in the parameter file. ; ; The render time of 5 minutes is joyfully fast, giving impatience ; little time to rear its head. Those with machines that are ; allergic to Fractint may see the image by downloading it from ; the FOTD web site at: ; ; ; ; With a high temperature of 86F 30C, Thursday turned out to be ; not unbearably warm, but it was very humid here at Fractal ; Central. Fractal cats are un-bothered by high humidity however, ; unless it starts to fall as rain. No rain fell while the cats ; were taking it easy in the holly thicket, so I guess their day ; must be considered a success. Today is starting much the same. ; If the rain holds off again, it will be another good day. For ; me, the work is starting to pile up and it looks like a busy ; day. The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours. Until then, take ; care, and keep your day in tune. ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jamth@mindspring.com ; jimmuth@aol.com ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= The_Wheel_of_Life { ; time=0:05:04.78--SF5 on a P200 reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=allinone.frm formulaname=MandelbrotMix4 function=recip passes=1 center-mag=+0.72352856661089870/-0.132149562601626\ 40/4.256858e+012/1.0001/37.503580311835151/-0.0068\ 0660533600676437 params=-1/-0.5/1/2/0/0 float=y maxiter=1200 inside=253 outside=tdis periodicity=10 mathtolerance=0.05/1 colors=000OObPPcRQeTRgUShWUjXVkZWm_XnaYpbZqY`pUbpQ\ dpMfpHhoDjo9lo5mo6lk7kh7kd8ja9jY9iVAiRBhOBhLGfOKeR\ PdUTcWXbZaaae`cj_fnZirYkh_gZadQc`GeY7fV8`X9VYAPZBJ\ `CDaD8bJA`OBZUDXZEVdFTiHRoIPtJNoKPjLQeMRaNSXOTSPVN\ QWJRXESY9TZ5T_AUXFVVJWSOXQSYOXZLa_Je`GjaEnaCkbEhbG\ ecIadLZdNWePTeRQfTNfVOdKObAO`0TSCXKN`BYd3he4ef4cf5\ `g5Zg6Xh6Uh7Si7Pi8Nj8Lj9Ik9Gk9EgADdAC`ABYAAVB9RB8O\ B7KB6HC5EC4AC37C24C15I26N37S47X58a69f79k8CcGFXNIQV\ LJaOCiQ5pMCrIItEOvAUx6_y7`s7am7ag8ba8bW8cQ8cLDcOHc\ QLcTPcVTcYXc_acaecdicfmciqckucmrgopkpmnqkrriusnTYs\ 1DkAGcJIWSLO_NGhQ8qS0yU4wV7uVAsVDqWHoWKmWNkXQiXUgX\ XeY_cYbaYf_ZiYZlWZoUZnTXnSWmRVmRUlQTlPSkORkOQjNPjM\ OjMNfNMcNL_NLXNKTNJQNJMNIJNImpfgfcbX`YNYTDVO3SQ7QR\ APSDOTGNUJMWMKXPJYSIZVH_YGa`EbcDcfCdiBelAfk9gj9hi9\ hh9ig9jf9je9kd9lc9lb9ma9n`9n_9oZ9pY9pY9lZDi_Ge`Kba\ NZbQWcUSdXPe_UEZzrzODMMM` } frm:MandelbrotMix4 {; Jim Muth a=real(p1), b=imag(p1), d=real(p2), f=imag(p2), g=1/f, h=1/d, j=1/(f-b), z=(-a*b*g*h)^j, k=real(p3)+1, l=imag(p3)+100, c=fn1(pixel): z=k*((a*(z^b))+(d*(z^f)))+c, |z| < l } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ;
