; Today's rather hurried image is a scene in the quartic Mandel-
; brot set, which has nothing to do with liquid measure.  The 
; parent fractal is based on the formula Z^4+C, and the fourth 
; power is known as the quartic.

; The scene is located on a small filament on the northeastern 
; shoreline of the large midget on the negative X-axis of the 
; parent fractal.  Actually, the identical image exists in two 
; other places on the same shorelines of the other two corres-
; ponding midgets.

; I named the image "Quartic Mandelbrot" for a reason that does 
; not need to be explained.

; With limited time in which to work on the coloring, I could do 
; no better than the present warm-red-and-green theme, which rates 
; no better than a below-average 4.  Luckily, the render time of 
; 1-3/4 minutes is brief enough to take a good part of the pain 
; out of the calculation.
