; Today's brief diversion takes us to the fractal that results 
; when Z^5.9 is subtracted from Z^3.1 before C is added.  This 
; parent fractal is a distorted but quite recognizable Mandeloid 
; rotated 180 degrees, with East Valley, which is now on the west 
; side of the main bay, broadened into a wedge.  Today's scene is 
; located in a disconnected but intricate bit of chaos near the 
; north edge of the wedge blade.

; I gave the image no rating, though it really is good enough to 
; deserve one.  I named the picture "Into the Abyss".  "Which 
; abyss?" one might ask.  Why the bottomless fractal abyss of 
; course.  After all, the parent fractal is half-infinite.  Like 
; heaven, which has a beginning but no end, the parent fractal has 
; a limit in only one direction.  It has a top but no bottom.
