This parent ; fractal is a roughly circular thing filled with scattered ; fractal debris. Today's image is located near the end of a ; twisting strand of disconnected debris on the east side of the ; circular parent. ; ; The bailout radius of 20100 assures that the parent fractal is ; partially evaporated. The remaining unevaporated 'outside' ; stuff was colored with the 'tdis' option, which creates the ; effect of strings of beads. The 'inside' parts were colored ; with the 'bof61' option, which supplies the solid, unbroken ; background. ; ; A midget does lie at the center of today's image. It is virtu- ; ally impossible to distinguish amid all the other fractal ; goodies however. I did not get around to naming the image, ; though I did rate it at a hasty 7. The render time of under ; 3-1/2 minutes can probably be bettered by going to the FOTD web ; site at: ; ; ; ; and downloading the already-rendered image from there. ; ; Occasional light rain and only slightly milder temperatures ; prevailed here at Fractal Central on Monday. The high ; temperature of 52F 11C actually came after nightfall, just ; around the time the fractal cats were enjoying their evening ; treats. ; ; My day was busier than expected, making today's fractal all the ; more unusual. The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours. Until ; then, take care, and be at peace with the universe of fractals. ; ; ; Jim Muth ; jamth@mindspring.com ; jimmuth@aol.com ; ; ; START PARAMETER FILE======================================= FOTD_for_Jan_16_07 { ; time=0:03:22.18--SF5 on a P200 reset=2004 type=formula formulafile=allinone.frm formulaname=MandelbrotMix4 function=recip center-mag=+2.68517352338588900/-1.363492677714405\ 00/3.336176e+009/1/40/0.000430622951832403122 params=5/-1.4/0.5/-4.5/0/20000 float=y maxiter=1000 inside=bof61 outside=tdis periodicity=10 colors=000zz00Jp0Gk0Bi06f00f00c00`00Y00Y60`B0cJ0fQ\ 0iY5kcApiFrrKuxPxzUzzZzzczzhzzmzzhzzczzZzxUzpPxfKu\ YFuQArG5p80p00S00Q00Q00O00Q00S00U00U00U00U00U40U80\ RG0GN01W00`60iB0pG0rN0rQ0rT0rW0rY0r`0rc0rf0xk0zp0z\ rAzuKzxUzzczzmzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz0zz0zz0zz3xz6iz8\ Wz8GzBBzE3zG0zG0zJ0zN0zN0zJ0zG0zE0zB0z80p00c00T00G\ 00600000000000000000000600E0BN0QW0`c0kk0zu6zzBzzGz\ zJzciz0zz0zu0z`0zG0z00z00z00z00z00zW0zz0zzGizWTzi8\ zx0zz0zz0zz0zz0xz0iz0Yz0Nz08z60zB0zJ0zQ0zY0zc0zi0z\ p0zu0zx0zz0zz0zz6zzEuzNpzYizfczpYzxTzGJz0Bc06800E0\ 0G00J00N00Q00T00W00Y00`80cG0fN0iW0k`0pi0rp0ux0xz0z\ z0zz0zz0zz0zr0zi0z`0zW0zN0zE0z66z0Ez0Nz0Tz0`z0iz0r\ z0zz0zz0xz0pz0fz0`z0Tz0Jz0Bz06z00z00z00z00z00z00z0\ 0z00z00z00z00x00r00k00f00`00c00f00i00i00k00p00p06r\ 0Bu5GuANxFTzKYzPczUizZpzcuzhzzmzzrzzwzzzzzwzzrzzmz\ zhzzcxzZrzUpzPixKcxFYuAi0 } frm:MandelbrotMix4 {; Jim Muth a=real(p1), b=imag(p1), d=real(p2), f=imag(p2), g=1/f, h=1/d, j=1/(f-b), z=(-a*b*g*h)^j, k=real(p3)+1, l=imag(p3)+100, c=fn1(pixel): z=k*((a*(z^b))+(d*(z^f)))+c, |z| < l } ; END PARAMETER FILE========================================= ; ;
