; I gave today's image a name.  It looks so much like a burst 
; paint ball that I named it "Fractal Splat".  I did not rate it 
; however.  A quick look will show why I gave it no rating.  The 
; image came about when I checked the Z^(1.23)+C Mandeloid 321 
; levels up the logarithmic ladder.

; At this level, the parent fractal resembles a Mandeloid with a 
; long twisting filament stretching off to the southeast.  Bits of 
; disconnected filament lie scattered well beyond the main 
; filament.  Today's scene is located on a node of one of these 
; disconnected bits of filament.

; Today's image might not be the best of all time, but it 
; certainly is one of the fastest.  It calculates in just over 1/2 
; minute on my tired old machine.  On one of the newer units, it 
; will be even faster.

; The temperature made it up to 36F 2C today.  Though this was 
; still below normal, the ample sunshine and lower wind made the 
; day feel reasonably bearable.  At least the fractal cats agreed 
; when I let their noses sniff the outside air.

; The non-fractal work still is very heavy, as it will remain for 
; at least a week or so.  Then I hope things will return closer to 
; a state of normalcy.  The next FOTD will appear in 24 hours.
